Longing for the world outside, I seek freedom.
My life stifled inside a golden cage.
By the time I broke out, something else awaited me.
A field of beauty that also hid ugliness.
Caught unprepared, I cower away into the darkness.
But all that serves is stagnation.
So, I crawl out of the pit and continue flying.
To a place where I can truly belong.
