The problem with a promise is trust.
Hope for the best, yet nothing real comes from aspirations
because you believe me to be honest, not abrupt.
I cannot afford to stay, so I choose to leave in a rush
because I have no time to look after your respect nor do I have the patience.
The problem with a promise is trust
Considering I could promise you something, but for what?
Because I could never give you my dedication
but you believe me to be honest, not abrupt.
If I make a promise, take it with a grain of salt because it isn’t much.
But, I made you a promise that came with so many expectations.
Therefore, the problem with a promise is trust.
I made a promise to you once, now look at us–
Unaware of where to begin now that we’re at our final destination
because you believe in me to be honest, not abrupt.
If you want a promise from me, prepare to be crushed.
I need you to know that no matter the outcome, I will remain complacent.
Just know that the problem with a promise is trust
all because you believe me to be honest, not abrupt.
